CCL - Asia-Pacific - Overview

Asia Office
Singapore

The Center for Creative Leadership - Asia-Pacific is one of the five campuses that annually serve some 20,000 professionals from 134 countries. The increasing importance of Asia in the world economy and the central role played by Asian managers signals a need for enhanced leadership skills and greater leadership capacity. This provided the impetus for the establishment of the CCL - APAC campus based in Singapore in 2003.

Even before the establishment of the CCL - APAC campus, CCL had delivered programs in Asia since the 1970s. To date, CCL - APAC has been delivering programs in Malaysia, Thailand, China, India, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and Australia besides Singapore.

CCL - APAC offers a portfolio of research-based programs and services universally recognized for their effectiveness in business and leadership education. The annual Financial Times' survey consistently ranks the Center among the world's top providers of executive education. The latest ranking — released May 11, 2009 — ranked CCL No. 6 overall worldwide. For the eighth consecutive year, CCL is the only institution focused exclusively on leadership education and research ranked in the survey, placing it in the company of many of the world's elite business schools.

To further understand more about the differences between leaders in Asia and their western counterparts, CCL - APAC with the support of the Singapore Economic Development Board, established an Asia Research unit in 2005. Currently, there are seven research staff working on three major research studies.
