World Renowned Center for Creative Leadership Expands into West Africa
Accra, Ghana, July 2009 - The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®) — ranked number 6 in global executive education by the Financial Times — is bringing world-class leadership development to West Africa, in partnership with Optimentus. African leaders will now have the same opportunity on the home continent as top talent around the world who already attend CCL programs every year in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
By popular demand, CCL and Optimentus will bring back the Coaching for Development 3-day program to Accra on October 12- 14 and October 15-17 2009. Coaching for Development (CFD) reveals what makes a Leader Coach and what he or she can do to drive coaching excellence in an organisation. It is an opportunity for shared learning and networking for West Africa managers, directors & senior executives.
"Self-awareness is a key ingredient for leadership development so participants in CCL programs complete assessments and learn what results may mean for their own developmental journey," CCL's Coaching Talent Director-EMEA Patrick Stichelmans says. "Participants also explore what leadership development means for teams and organisations."
"Findings from CCL's world-class research will be packed into both the LDP and CFD along with proven assessment and development tools," says Natalie Pothier, CCL's Coaching Practice Leaders-EMEA. "Participants will leave with coaching techniques, tools and ideas they can implement in their workplace the very next day and which will help them to manage their staff better and maximise their potential."
"The ideal size of our programs is 24 participants," adds CCL's Regional Director, Simon Rweyongoza. "Participants experience collaboration and connected leadership in a safe yet stretching learning environment, which aims at growing them as leaders."
Registration for the two Coaching for Development October programs kicks off today. "Together with our partner in West Africa, Optimentus, we are greatly looking forward to tap into the vitality and spirit of emerging leaders in West Africa," continues Simon Rweyongoza, "We will be bringing full-fledged CCL leadership expertise in an experiential learning setting and our participants will bring their experience as managers and leaders in this vital part of the world."
