Center for Creative Leadership Continues Expansion into South Africa
Johannesburg, August 2009 - The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®), founded in 1970 and ranked among the world's top executive education providers, offers world-class leadership development in South Africa.
Both public and private sector leaders in the country now have the same opportunity as the approximately 20,000 professionals around the world who already attend CCL programmes every year in Europe, Asia and North America.
The Leadership Development Program (LDP)®, considered the flagship in the CCL's open-enrolment portfolio, aims to unlock individual and organisational potential through its exclusive focus on leadership development and research.
According to Rudi Plettinx, Vice President and Managing Director of CCL's EMEA operation, "We aim to bring high-quality leadership expertise in an experiential learning environment with participants sharing their experiences as middle and senior managers as well as leaders in their line of work."
Planned CCL programmes take place over a number of days throughout the country and present opportunities for shared learning and networking for South African government officials, senior company executives, directors and managers.
CCL currently boasts 20 Coaching Practice Leaders in South Africa who lead these leadership development workshops throughout the country. Using proven assessment and development tools, participants are empowered with techniques to help them lead change in their organisations, manage their businesses effectively and efficiently, coach others and maximize their own potential.
Rudi Plettinx further explains that "CCL's move to expand into South Africa has been fuelled by our interest to tap into the spirit of emerging leaders and entrepreneurs whilst simultaneously unleashing their leadership potential to the maximum level."
CCL is in the process of meeting with South African leaders in both the public and private sector, and there is already a high level of interest from all sides which would see the joining of forces in leadership development.
In partnership with the University of Stellenbosch Business School, CCL presented its first LDP in South Africa last summer and just completed another successful run at the beginning of August 2009. CCL is also offering its popular Coaching for Development course on the continent, and there is a planned expansion of the LDP to the rest of Africa.
