You've got an idea that you want to sell to your organization. Maybe it's a project that you want to be in charge of. Or maybe it's a piece of a bigger project that you want to move forward. It could be an improvement on an existing process or just something that you believe will make your group, team, or organization function better. You want others to understand and endorse your idea, to line up in support of it before you take it "public".

When you want to sell an idea to your organization, there are two important things to do before you get too far: performing an environmental scan and choosing from a collection of strategies/tactics. In this webinar, you will: discover:

  • How to assess your organizational environment, point by point.
  • A collection of strategies/tactics you can use to sell your idea.
  • The positive side of organizational culture and politics.
  • The power bases you can employ to influence others throughout your organization.

Maximizing the Value of the Webinar

  • Invite others to participate. Structure a group "lunch and learn" session and invite other colleagues to attend.
  • Debrief the lessons learned. Set aside time at the end of the Webinar to discuss takeaways, and how they apply to your group or organization
  • Tap into your training budget. Ask your HR group or manager to underwrite the Webinar as part of your organization's ongoing staff development effort.
