Chris Ernst
Currently, Chris works in CCL's Organizational Leadership practice, chartered to support organizations in accelerating strategic change by bridging the fields of individual and organizational development. Previously, Chris served in an expatriate capacity as Research Director, Asia-Pacific with responsibility for the start-up of CCL's Research and Innovation group located in Singapore.
As a researcher, Chris is a frequent author of articles, book chapters, and reports and is a co-author of the books, Success for the New Global Manager: How to Work Across Distance, Countries and Cultures (Jossey-Bass/Wiley), and Boundary Spanning Leadership (forthcoming from McGraw-Hill Professional). Most recently, Chris co-directed a five-continent program of research designed to develop new knowledge in leading across boundaries in nonprofit, community, and corporate settings.
As a practitioner, Chris has served in multi-year expatriate roles in Asia and Europe, manages and leads multicultural teams, and designs and facilitates leadership interventions in a wide variety of cultural and organizational contexts. By integrating research knowledge with real-world experience, Chris seeks to create innovative, practical leadership solutions for organizations and communities worldwide.
Chris holds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from North Carolina State University.
