Bio - Michael Campbell

Michael Campbell
Michael Campbell
As a Senior Research Analyst for the Center for Creative Leadership, Michael explores and develops new content and research on organizational talent sustainability and the challenges of senior executive leaders. He is engaged in helping clients understand their human capital assets and the roles leaders play in developing and deploying their talent.

Michael's current research involves the study and application of CCL's Global Talent Sustainability Framework, and understanding how organizations can maximize their investment in people systems. His work includes the development of talent related tools that measure organizational talent sustainability, as well as the individual leadership activities specific to driving performance through talent. He is also part of the Senior Executive Research Initiative, which consists of a team of researchers and external partners focused on understanding leadership at the most senior levels.

Michael joined the Center for Creative Leadership in 1999 to provide logistical support for a variety of custom clients and open enrollment programs. In 2001, he saw an opportunity to help organizations better understand their internal leadership by providing clients with leadership profiles based on psychometric and 360 degree instruments. Michael became the business manager for CCL's assessment instrument database, a database that includes demographic, preference, and leadership data on over 40,000 individual leaders, with the goal of supporting both client organizations and research initiatives. In 2005, he became involved in CCL's knowledge management initiative to promote the dissemination of organizational knowledge throughout the Center. Through his efforts CCL has created and published content on the stress of leadership, corporate social responsibility, and individual power and influence. He was also involved in the creation and development of experiential tools for CCL's flagship program the Leadership Development Program (LDP)®.

He holds a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and is a Master's Candidate in Communication at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
