Phillip W. Braddy, Ph.D.
Phillip is a Psychometrician in the Global Research group at the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) in Greensboro, NC. As a member of CCL's research faculty, his primary responsibility is to conduct scholarly research on leadership. Although his interests in this domain are quite varied, Phillip is currently investigating issues such as work-family conflict, gender differences in leadership, the role of political skill in leadership, and the relative importance of leader skills as they relate to leader effectiveness. He also maintains secondary programs of research in the areas of psychometrics and organizational recruitment.

Since joining CCL in May 2007, Phillip has presented multiple research papers at professional conferences such as the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), the Academy of Management (AOM), and the Southern Management Association (SMA). A paper he wrote on managerial derailment for the 2008 SIOP Conference was selected as a Top 20 Featured Paper. Phillip has also co-authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Computers in Human Behavior, International Journal of Selection and Assessment, and Journal of Applied Psychology.

Phillip serves a critical role in the product development process at CCL by helping develop and validate new assessments that are used in CCL's leadership development programs. Further, he provides psychometric and statistical consulting to internal faculty and marketing analysts, does client-related work (e.g., develops surveys for leadership competency models) as needed, and assists with certifying clients to use CCL assessments.

Phillip's professional affiliations include SIOP, AOM, SMA, the American Psychological Association, Evaluation, Measurement, and Statistics, and the North Carolina Industrial-Organizational Psychologists' Group. He holds a B.A. degree in psychology (with a minor in Business) and an M.A. degree in industrial-organizational (I-O) psychology from East Carolina University. Phillip also earned a Ph.D. in I-O psychology (with a concentration in psychometrics) from North Carolina State University.
